What makes SharperBrain so effective?

SharperBrain works on the most basic cognitive mechanisms of the brain, the  neurological foundation that supports memory, attention, focus, and concentration. It doesn't just help you cope with problems. It actually solves them.

This is important: unlike any other program, SharperBrain trains the brain to operate efficiently on three brainwave levels: Alpha, Beta 1, and Beta 2 (calm, focused, and alert mental states). It trains the user to make quick transitions from one state to another and to work within each state’s frequency band (each functional level produces brainwaves in a specific range of frequencies).

What this means is that you will be able to produce the right state of mind when you need it, and you can sustain it for as long as you want. You’ll be able to call up a broader level of focus when you must deal with several things at once, and you’ll be able to quickly sharpen the focus when you need to pay attention to details.

Many programs that claim to improve concentration use a computer game to increase the user’s stress level, thus producing a more intense level of focus. In contrast, SharperBrain trains the user to produce a calm type of focus. This  enables you to concentrate without physical or mental tension. Of course, without increased tension, you can sustain that concentration for a longer period of time.

For kids, this is especially important.  Computer games grab a kid’s interest by providing stimulation on the screen. If the content is interesting, concentration may improve--but only for that specific game. Such programs may actually make problems like ADD/ADHD  worse by creating intensity and reinforcing impulsivity. Face it: Kids spend hours playing video games. If video games could improve a kid’s level of attention, all ADD/ADHD kids would be cured by now.

SharperBrain uses a different approach. By focusing on visual-motor integration, emphasizing auditory and visual processing, and avoiding specific content, it teaches the brain to pay attention regardless of subject matter or situation.

With practice, new cognitive skills consolidate and generalize to other areas of  performance.

Simple to use, SharperBrain works for adults and for children as young as 6. It begins easily and works through 36 levels that build focus and attention.  It’s a complete program, with everything you need; you won’t have to buy special equipment or extra modules to master different cognitive tasks.

(Note: If your goal is peak performance or enhanced IQ, you may consider an option for 18 advanced levels, developed to create the highest possible degree of focus, attention, and mental processing. But this is NOT necessary to repair disorders and to improve all the basic cognitive skills).

The differences between SharperBrain and other ways of dealing with cognitive problems are fundamental. (Compare it with neurofeedback here.) While it corrects--permanently--the neurological structures that cause trouble, it improves all the cognitive skills essential to thinking and learning. No drugs. No side effects. Just solid results that last.

SharperBrain is simply a more efficient way to get help.
